Key Responsibilities
• Operate maize cleaning, conditioning, degerming, milling, and sieving sections.
• Monitor plant parameters and adjust machines to maintain required output.
• Ensure continuous operation of the grit plant with minimal downtime.
• Check moisture, fungus %, and grain quality before feeding into the plant.
• Ensure that maize grit meets required specifications (size, color, moisture).
• Report any deviation to QC and Production Manager immediately/ QC Team.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of machinery (belts, bearings, filters,
sieves, cyclone, etc.).
• Inform maintenance team about major breakdowns or abnormalities.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Record daily production logs, machine stoppages, and material consumption.
• Maintain cleaning records and quality monitoring sheets.
• Report shifts performance and issues at the end of every shift.
• Ensure proper cleaning of plant, sieves, and equipment as per SOP.
• Maintain hygiene standards aligned with food safety requirements.
