*Experience: 3 years of experience in QA/QC/R&D head in food processing industry.
*Education :B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
-Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and implement food safety & quality systems: GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO standards.
• Develop SOPs for production, packing, sanitation, and quality monitoring.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FSSAI, BIS, customer specifications).
• Oversee raw material inspection (moisture, fungus %, grain quality, density, microbiology as required).
• Monitor in-process and finished product quality (maize grit grades, snack quality, flour parameters, packaging integrity).
• Approve batches, analyze test reports, and take corrective actions in case of deviations.
• Ensure calibration of lab equipment and maintain test records.
• Lead development of new products, formulations, and process improvements.
• Modify recipes based on cost, performance, customer feedback, and quality issues.
• Conduct product trials for new SKUs or process changes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all trials and results.
• Drive initiatives for yield improvement, wastage reduction, and process optimization.
• Implement quality improvement projects based on data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and procurement for better results.
• Train QC/QA/R&D staff on testing methods, SOPs, hygiene practices.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure smooth workflow within quality department.
• Foster a culture of quality and accountability across the plant.
• Manage customer audits, sample approvals, and technical support.
• Prepare monthly quality reports and quality KPI dashboards.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Skills & Qualifications
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in QA/QC/R&D in food processing industry.
• Experince with cereals, extruded snacks, flour milling, or maize products
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality systems.
• Expertise in lab testing, SPC, process validation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in product development and formulation.
• Familiarity with multi-head packing lines, milling processes, extrusion, etc. (as relevant).
