Key Responsibilities:
Recovery Support:
• Assist the Recovery Head in preparing and managing recovery-related legal documents.
• Coordinate with debtors for settlement discussions, issuing notices, and follow-ups.
• Draft and send legal notices, demand letters, and reminders as required.
• Maintain records of recovery proceedings, agreements, and legal actions taken.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and law firms on ongoing recovery cases.
• Monitor the company’s compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation and timely filings as per Nepalese law
• Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and MoUs to safeguard company interests.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections by preparing relevant legal documents.
• Maintain and organize legal files, records, and correspondences.
• Prepare periodic reports on recovery status, legal cases, and compliance issues for management review.
• Keep management updated on changes in laws or regulations that may impact the company.
• Act as a liaison between the Recovery Department, Legal Advisors, and other departments.
• Attend court hearings or government office visits when required.
• Respond to legal queries from internal departments and provide assistance in resolving legal concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or relevant legal education.
• 1–2 years of experience in a legal or recovery-related role, preferably in a trading or financial company.
• Knowledge of Nepalese corporate, commercial, and debt recovery laws.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Proficient in MS Office and legal document management.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with external legal counsel or recovery agents.
• Familiarity with compliance processes and reporting to regulatory authorities in Nepal.
• Nepali and English language proficiency (written and spoken).
